Development :

On 2nd january , the producer of Dhoom previous Series, confirmed the initial photoshoot at the end of 2011. Actually the producers and lead actor wanted to release this movie by the Christmas of 2012, but the plan was scrapped of favour of an early release date of 2013, which was unfavourable given the high degree of technicality that was required for this film.

Casting :

In this movie Aamir khan was signed to act the lead role and as Antagonist, while Abhishek and Uday chopra asusually plays the roles as police officers. And katrina was signed to act as lead heroine. khan and katrina had took some special preparations for their roles, especially aamir khan learned aerobatics,french technique of parkour & Ballet.

Aamir khan had completely changed himself apt to his role in this film. 

And to direct the stunts , Stunt direct Olliver keller was signed for this movie.

Filming : 

Due to some reasons this movie was postponed to january 2012, incase of Starting from November 2011.In june once again this film was postponed due to Aamir's  commitments to his Tv shows (Satyamev jayate). Again this was postponed due to aamir's preparation of himself as a gymnast. Aamir joined this movie on July and filmed for 5 Days at yash raj studios and then in chicago, U.S.A

And in the second week of march , it is reported that the whole crew went to Zurich,Ticino of Switcherland for Shoot.

Release formats :

Initially, Aditya chopra wanted to make the film iin 3D. However aamir opined that 3D technology needed to Expertise and perhaps he was unsure of the outcome of its utilization by the director.

As in September 2012, Yash raj films hasn't announced the Production of this film in 3D. 

Dhoom:3 will be the first indian local language production to be released in IMAX Format.

Music : 

Once again , the composer of Dhoom,Dhoom;2,Pritam is repeated for this film.

In media :     

Because of box office success of Dhoom:2,the sequel had been anicipated by the audience.

Release date :

The first teaser of Dhoom:3 was released on September 5,2013. at 12pm noon.

The main film is expected to release on 20,December 2013.
